What We Believe Scriptures We believe the completed work of the Bible is contained within the 39 books of the Old Testament and 27 books of the New Testament. The Bible is authoritative in all matters in which it speaks. We believe it is without error because it is God breathed and God can not err. We believe that this divine inspiration is preserved down through the ages. The KJV is used for all preaching and teaching in the church. (II Peter 1:21; II Timothy 3:16; Matthew 5:18; Luke 16:17) God We believe that there is one God existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each one is divinely equal and eternal. (Deuteronomy 6:4-5; Genesis 1:26; Isaiah 6:8; Matthew 21:42) Jesus Christ We believe Jesus Christ is the only Son of God. He became a sinless man through the virgin birth, died upon a cross, rose from the dead on the third day, ascended back into heaven, and is seated on the right hand of God as our high priest. His blood sacrifice on the cross satisfied the just demands of a righteous God so the we could spend eternity with Him. (John 3:16; John 1:1, 14; Philippians 2:8; Luke 1:26-27; I Peter 2:24; Acts 1:9; Romans 3:24-25) Holy Spirit We believe the Holy Spirit indwells the believer at the moment of salvation. He seals them and guides them unto all truth. (I Corinthians 3:16; I Corinthians 6:19; Romans 8:9; II Corinthians 1:22; John 14:26) Sin We believe that sin is to simply "miss the mark" of God’s standard. Sin entered the world through Adam, and his sin passed upon all men. We are therefore all spiritually dead and in need of a Savior. (I John 3:4; James 4:17; Romans 5:12, 18; I Corinthians 15:22) Satan We believe in the reality of Satan. Satan’s activities are to try to lead astray the children of God. His final destination will be the lake of fire for all eternity. (Luke 22:31; Matthew 4:10; John 8:44; I Thessalonians 2:18; Revelation 20:10) Salvation We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in the finished work of Christ. Once saved by the grace of God we are always saved. Salvation is a sovereign act of God given as a free gift to all those who would believe on Him. (Romans 5:1-2; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 10:29) Church We believe that the church is a spiritual, living body that is founded on Christ, who is the head. We believe in biblical separation from all organizations that would deny the fundamentals of the faith according to the Bible. (Ephesians 1:22-23; Colossians 1:18; Amos 3:3) End Times We believe in the premillennial, pretribulational return of Christ to rapture His Church. After the rapture of the church the world will go through the tribulation after which Christ will come again to set up His kingdom on earth. At the close of the millennial reign, God will create a new heaven and a new earth where He will rule and reign with the righteous eternally. (I Thessalonians 4:16-17; I Corinthians 15:51-53; Romans 5:9; Daniel 9:24-27; Jeremiah 30:7; Isaiah 13:6-11; Revelation 20:1-4; Isaiah 65:17; Isaiah 66:22; II Peter 3:13; Revelation 21:1
